Thanksgiving with the O'Rears

We had a great Thanksgiving with my side of the family.  The kids loved being together and playing.   They all got along really well for the most part.    We had fun playing and hanging out.   They give me so much to be thankful for!

Core Family Pictures 2015

We had family pictures made.   I don't personally like most of them.  They were rushed and I don't like them, but I am thankful for them and want to share a few of them.

Thanksgiving Lunch

I got to eat lunch with these two monsters at their Thanksgiving lunches.  I sure love their school and the time I get to see them!   They always make me laugh with their enthusiasm and joy for random things.   They give me so much to be thankful for!

Readers are Leaders

I love to read.   I didn't always love to read, but I do now.  I constantly have an ebook ready and one waiting.   I often read multiple books a week.   I love it.   I didn't think I was a good reader until I was in mid-elementary when I got into 2 Minute Mystery Books.   I also got glasses in 3rd grade and I think that helped.   Either way. confidence in reading is key to academic success.   Carley has caught the bug.  She is always one of the top readers in her grade and in the school.   It almost insane how quickly she reads.   Corey has started reading more and more this year.   He started AR and is doing so well!   I am so proud of him and impressed.   I hope both of you guys always love reading and always find books that interest you.   When school gets crazy hard as you are older, you may struggle with finding time to read.  I encourage you to always come back to it and pick it back up.   Your brain with thank you!

This fall Carley begged to read Harry Potter.   I wasn't going to let her, but I finally did and we read it together.   It was so magical to share this experience with her.   We read the first book out loud to eachother.  I rarely read out loud to her anymore because there isn't a reason but it was so fun to read it like that and she loved it!   It was a special memory I hope I always remember.

And Corey has started reading to me more and more at night and gaining confidence in his skills.   I love it.

Keep reading guys!
