Santa Land 2014

We had such a fun night at Santa Land.   The kids were pumped to talk to Santa and see all the cut outs.   They were really cute running around.   We also bumped into Leah, Wade, and Lainey there so that was fun to get to hang out with them. Carley asked Santa for Legos or American Girl stuff.  Corey asked for a Double sided Blue Light Saber.

  

Carley's 9th Birthday Party

How is this girl turning 9?   We had a perfect party for this girl.   She loves Ever After High and we had fun with the theme.  Corey even wore pink in honor of his sister.   She had friends from school over to eat pizza, do art work, and eat cupcakes.   Cody and I gave her piano lessons and had my old piano from Mom and Dad's house moved to our house.

I have loved Corey's PreK experience.   He has loved this year and learned many great lessons.   His class has 10 Staff Kids and 5 kids in the morning who are serviced through Special Education and 5 in the afternoon serviced by Special Education.   Corey has been a great helper to many sweet friends and I am so proud of how much he has grown.

Sweet Times

One thing that I am most thankful is living near my parents.   The amount of time my kids get to see Mom and Dad is just priceless.   Some of my favorite times this year has been when Mom came over to take the kids to school so I was not late to work.  Most weeks, once or twice a week, Mom (and sometimes Dad) came over at 6:40 and then took the kids after they were ready.   I especially love these pictures of Mom and Corey,   My heart sure is full looking at these.  

Impromptu Christmas PJ PhotoShoot

I got the kids matching Christmas PJs from Target and they are adorable.   The first night the kids tried them on, they loved them and asked me to take their pictures.  I love that they wanted this and how they posed themselves.   I hope the dress alike forever  :)  

Traditions Old and New

 One of my favorite Christmas traditions is tracing the kids hands each year.   It is bittersweet to see how they have grown.   I just love it.   Simplest idea ever, just black sharpie and red felt tree skirt.  But oh so precious to me!
Also Cody drew, painted, and cut out The Grinch.   It was so cute and our kids loved it!  I am so proud of his hard work.   Truly, I am married to THE MOST talented man on the planet!

Just hanging out

Life is so funny.   I always look forward to the big moments and events in life.   I am such a planner and an organizer that these milestones seem to be etched in my mind before they even happen.   But the truth is that most of my favorite times are just hanging out with these faces.  Family movie night, popping pop corn, laughing, and cuddling moments seem to be the sweetest.   My heart is full of gratefulness that God has given me this life, with these people.   It is my dream come true.   I could "Just Hang Out" with them forever.
