New York City Day 1

Mom took Alyssa and I to NYC for the 4 days this Summer for our 40th birthdays   (Mine is still 3 yrs away, but it was Alyssa's)  and it was an AMAZING time!   We loved every part of it!   We left EARLY Saturday morning and went to NYC.   We stayed at the NYC Marriott Marquis right on Time Square.   It was out of control awesome.   The room was spacious and in a perfect location.

We ate a late lunch at the Steak Shack and then looked around Times Square.   Then we went to the Empire State Building.   I was completely awe inspired.   It was so iconic and a perfect way for me to have a bird's eye view of what I would later see.

We went back to our room, cleaned up and went and saw Finding Neverland.   It was AWESOME!   I cried.   I loved going with Mom and Alyssa.  It was perfect and totally special.   We got to see Matthew Morrison after wards and some of the other cast.  We also went to see Times Square all lit up.   Then we came home and got some rest!

4th of July 2015 from the Nelsons

We had a great, low key day.  Cody worked then got off in time to go shoot fire works at the Macks.  The kids and I met Nana and Papa for breakfast then hung out at home.  I am so thankful for where we live and what we get to do.

The San Antonio Zoo and the last day

We had fun at the zoo.  It was HOT AND HUMID that day and it made for a long morning, but we loved looking at the animals and feeding the Lory's in the Australia area.   It amazed me how grown up the kids are seeming and how they almost seemed "above" some of the areas.   My babies sure aren't babies anymore.

We ended the day at the Riverwalk and with a carriage ride.   Cody sure does love to spoil our kids and I am so thankful he is the generous guy that he is!

My Shoppers

We stopped in San Marcos at the Outlet mall to get some back to school deals. Carley was in heaven.  Corey saw some undershirts at the Hanes Outlet that he had to have to match his dad.  Pretty adorable.

Lulus

We love to do the 3 lb cinnamon roll at LuLu's and have meals there.  The chicken fry was incredible and we loved the simple, massive meal and desert!

Grandad And Grammy Core

When we decided to go to San Antonio I wanted to go by the cemetery and see my grandparents graves on my dad's side.  My granddad Core died when my dad was 15 so I never met him.  My Grammy died in November of 1998.  Their legacy is a strong one and I am happy to pass on their name to my Corey.

Nelson Family Pictures 2015

Melody took these pictures of us and I really love the way they turned out.   I wanted a big canvas of the kids and I got it and a big picture for the wall of all 4 of us!

Sea World and Aquatica

Oh How I love Sea World!   I love the animals, the rides, the shows, the atmosphere, and everything about it!   Shamu is always breathtaking.   The water play area is always so fun and refreshing.   We also rode a few rides as a family which was fun too.   Cody got selected to be in the Sea Lion show and he hated it, but the kids and I loved it!   It was our first time to do Aquatica and it was AWESOME!   We had such a great time and played all day.  The kids even got to touch Sting Rays.   I sure love my family of 4 and I am so thankful for these memories.
