Carley had a fantastic 4th grade year! Straight A's. Prompt and Regular Attendance, Tiger Award for great Character. AR Award - 568 points. District Battle of the Books. UIL Oral Reading. Carley truly is an exceptional student. I am so proud of her.
And once again, I get choked up looking at this boy grow. He is so handsome and so happy. And then I put it in the frame next to my baby-faced Carley and it takes my breath away. She sure has grown up fast. Blessed to be their mom. Blessed to have healthy, happy mile stones.
And just like that, my baby graduated Kindergarten. And, on my, he is so handsome and confident. He is bright and witty. He is charming and a complete stinker. And he has my heart. Corey loved being on stage and graduating. He was so proud of himself. And I cried like a baby because he was so big out there. Proud of you, Corey boy! We love you!
This beautiful girl played basketball again this Spring. She has improved so much. She shot and made a basket almost every game and became more confident. Carley truly loves being on a team and cheering for her friends. Her kindness always shines through.
These 2 kids make me laugh all the time. Carley loves to nurture Corey and she loves to read. She gets so invested in the characters that she is obsessed. (I am like this too) And she hates for books to end. I love her heart and her love for others, especially her brother. And Corey finds an adventure around every corner. And he loves to take his toys and build "The Corey Star" (not to be confused with the Star Wars spaceship, the Death Star. And he loves to be big and interact with anyone and everyone. But at night, he is still our little man.
Carley has been planning for months what she wanted to do for her birthday. She wanted to take her Star Wars loving friends and go see Star Wars, the Force Awakens. We planned it a month in advance. Who knew that the biggest blizzard in Lubbocks history of 13 inches would shut down the city. So we had to postpone it twice until the snow melted. We were finally able to go and she was so excited. I am thankful for this sweet group of friends.
Along with things got got cancelled or delayed because of the snow, we had to move Christmas with the O'Rears because we couldn't get out of Lubbock. So we ended up meeting in Abilene and had such a fun, fun time. I wish I had better pictures of it all, but we played games and stayed a the comfort suites near ACU. We ate at Cracker Barrel and just spent time hanging out. We also played a Walmart partner purchase game where you had to buy your person a $10 gift. It was so fun. I love this crew so much!
Cody and I got married in 2004. He is the nicest, most positive, laid back, and sweetest guy you will ever meet. We love our sweet West Texas life. God blessed us in 2005 with our daughter, Carley, and in 2009 with our son, Corey. We are thankful and grateful beyond belief.
