Some"Bunny" Loves You

This is what Corey wore to church on Sunday. Cody hated it. I adored it. I have never had a child receive so many comments on what they wore to church. Clearly he loved it too.

Also, this is Carley who looks more grown up each day. She makes me laugh because she insisted on her sparkle pink shoes that did not match. INSISTED. Also, this is her new favorite toy given to her by her little buddy Emma Kate. Carley loves her dog in a purse named "Baby Girl Pup Ali".

My Tatted Baby Daddy

***I just did 6 previous posts, so you might scan through some of them for a little update on the Neslons

Cody and I had our 6th Anniversary this year. For YEARS he has been wanting a tattoo. Neither of us have any tattoos. Well a few months ago he decided he wanted each of the kids birth dates, in roman numerals on his inside bicep. I guess he was channeling his inner Angelina Jolie. :)

He has been hounding me, I mean mentioning daily to me, since October that he wanted these. I kept finding reasons to put him off. In his anniversary card I put, "Happy Anniversary. I love you. I will buy you your stupid tattoos". He really wanted my blessing to get these tattoos and I really do not like tattoos. (my opinion, no offense to my tatted friends at all).

So today I took him downtown and he got his tattoos. He cried like a baby. Just kidding. Although I know they hurt closer to the arm pit.

After: My Buff, Tatted Baby Daddy :)
Corey's is on his right arm (left facing the camera) with 09/09/09 (IX.IX.MMIX)
Carley's is on his left arm (right facing the camera) with 12/28/05 (XXVIII.XII.MMV)
In roman numerals, you do the day, then the month then the year.

Happy 6th Anniversary.

Lazy Days

This is how we have spent most of our Spring Break
Eating, being lazy, cuddling.

Carley had I have been doing some serious Play-Doh.
Corey and I have been doing some serious rocking.
Cody and I have been doing some serious eating out.

Here are a couple of cute Carley stories:
1. We were standing in front of the mirror and I was doing her hair. She looked at me in the mirror and said, "Do I disappoint you?" I could not figure out what she was talking about. Then she smiled and said, "Will you give me away at my wedding?" Yes, she was quoting Mamma Mia to me.
2. Meet Carley's new green bunny that Nana gave her. What would you name your green bunny? "Pink Rainbow" of course. Only my girl.

TUBES! :(

Little Corey got tubes on St. Patrick's day. His poor ears have really been bad. For the past couple of months he has had constant ear infections. Sweet baby. We are hoping this helps. Dr. Scolaro was super nice and reassuring. Everyone made it seem like it was no big deal and just routine. Corey did great. He was a fussy for the rest of the day, but nothing too horrible. He did not sleep good at all last night so I hope tonight is better. I can already tell improvement in his hearing.

Here is kind of a funny story:
At Dr. Scolaro's office the week before I was going over all of Corey's information with the nurse. She said, "Is there anything else we need to know before his surgery?" I said, "Yes, he is precious". She said, "Oh I know he is. All babies are." I said, "No, I want it written on his chart that he is precious and they need to take good care of him." She said, "Oh, okay." In her mind, I am sure she was thinking, that lady is crazy! Oh well.

So a couple of days later I went to preregister him at the surgicenter and the admissions lady said, "I see on his chart that he is precious?". I simply said, "Yes he is. Could you please make sure all who care for him know that." She said, "I am sure you will tell them all. " And I did.

Yep, I am that neurotic mom, and YES, my baby is precious!

Fun with Cousins

Alyssa's family came for the first part of Spring Break. I love it when the O'Rears come to visit. Carley was so excited they were coming she could barely sleep.Corey in his "My Aunt Rocks" onesie with his aunt who rocks. :)
He was getting lots of love and cuddle time this week.

The girls love to dress up in my mom's old night gowns and in my cousin's old dance uniforms.

We took the girls to the Science Spectrum. Carley was scared of all the animals at the reptile show so she chilled in Nana's lap.

I love this picture of Camryn imitating the lizard.
The kids love a good PEZ dispenser, but really, who doesn't?

Jump! Jump!

Criss Cross will make you Jump! Jump!
Daddy Mac will make you Jump! Jump!
Corey Nelson loves to Jump! Jump!

Seriously, he loves to jump and go crazy! I think he might turn into quite a wild man~

Tiny Dancer

Carley had her little Spring watch day at her dance class. She is looking so grown up and really loves dance and gymnastics. She is the line leader for the Spring Recital and she talks about this a lot. In some ways she is starting to seem like a young lady to me. Then I see her little flower panties hanging out of her leotard and I am thankful she is just 4!Something funny did happen that I have to document:During the gymnastics time, I heard her asking the other kids about straddle rolls. When were they going to be? Were they next? Etc. Well when time came around for straddle rolls, she told me she needed to go to the bathroom. So I walked her out of the room and all of a sudden I started to realize what she was doing. Each week at this time she would leave class to go potty. In the bathroom she barely had any. I asked her if she liked straddle rolls and she said, "They are hard work so I usually take a break". I started laughing and when we went back to class I told her teacher. We got so tickled. Now every week Carley asks Ms. Chelsea if she can go to the bathroom during straddle rolls and every week Chelsea tells her no. :) Now Carley loves Straddle Rolls and wants to practice them all the time. Kids are so funny!

Some March catch up

March began with my 32nd birthday! How did I get to be 32? Wow. I have convinced Carley I am only 22 so that part is good because she tells everyone she knows my age. Too bad no one believes her! :(

Here are my cuties on my day!

Cody gave me an IPOD adapter for my car that is built in and awesome. He also sent flowers to my work. Carley and Corey gave me some new gold hoops I had wanted. My mom and dad gave me some new clothes and my sister gave me a new watch and ring. I also got to go to Olive Garden with some girl friends. I am a lucky birthday girl!

There is something peaceful about my birthday this year. I think that aside from the fact I choke every time I say my age, there is a peace in knowing that some stages in my life seem to be over. My tubes are tied. I should never be pregnant (or try to get pregnant) ever again. I have no problem admitting that I like to be in bed by 9:00. I am a wife, a mom of 2, a friend, an employee, a homemaker, a daughter, a sister, and a woman. I feel good about that. Man, 32 though, Whew!

6 months

As everyone says, how is my baby six months old? Corey is pure joy, pure sunlight, pure happiness and hope. He is just the sweetest, happiest, laid back baby. And OH does he love to cuddle and snuggle.

Here are a few things about Corey:
- He has one tooth. It came in last week. I cried.
- He has been able to roll from his tummy to his back for about a month. Today he flipped from his back to his tummy. I cried.
- He loves to eat! He loves all food so far. We just have to make sure that the spoon keeps coming at a steady pace.
- He grabs at everything. He is always reaching and reaching. Hair, cups, jewelry, noses, EVERYTHING is a toy to that guy.
- He has come into his personality. He smiles at anyone who talks to him.
- He says one thing "Da-Da". He babbles all day long "da-da-da-da-da-da-da". Cody is sure it is directed at him. I think he just likes to say it and I am sure ma-ma will be coming right up!
- Corey has a blue birthmark on the bottom left side of his mouth. We went to the pediatric dermatologist last week and got the all clear on it. We just have to monitor it to make sure it doesn't get a pulse??? Random. :)
- Corey meets with the ENT on Thursday. He has had an ear infection for about 6 weeks. Hopefully he has kicked it on his own, but we find out Thursday if he has to have tubes. I can tell you know that I know everyone says tubes are the best things ever, but I will cry like a baby if he gets them.
- Corey loves his exersaucer, his johnny jumper, and his sister. These three things keep Corey entertained all day.
- Corey is a great sleeper. (he probably won't sleep tonight because I wrote that) He goes down about 8:00 and sleeps till 6:am. I am thankful for those 10 hours. I can't imagine working full time, with a BUSY 4 yr old ready for me when work is over and not having rest.

Corey Wayne Nelson, you are the blessing we prayed for, you are the joy we longed for, and you are the perfect answer to our prayers. Happy 6 months, Buddy.
