Happily Forever After

 Carley had her very first music camp this week.  The did an outstanding job performing Happily Forever After.   She said it was the "best week of her life".  I am telling you she loved ever day and every minute of it!

We carpooled with 2 of the "big girls" who had leads and that made Carley feel VERY special!   She loved being with her friends, making new friends, and performing.   Way to go on a week of hard work and fun!

Carley's Swim Lessons

Carley had a few private lessons last week with a girl from our church. She was wonderful with Carley. Calley was a great listener and very encouraging. Carley improved quickly as well.

My book nerds

The Nelson's have been reading and reading this Summer. I finished my 10 th book since school was out today! Cody is never much of a reader but he read the Hunger Games trilogy after much begging from me and loved it. I love reading and LOVE sharing it with my kids!

Father's Day!

 How much do we love Cody Nelson?   He warms my heart each and every day for many reasons and one is always how much he loves our kiddos and what a great daddy he is!   I am so thankful for the leadership and love he provides.  

We had a great day celebrating Cody and my dad.   We also ended the day playing in the sprinkler.   I love my life.  :)

San Antonio Zoo

 We LOVED the San Antonio Zoo.  Cody really wanted to take the kids there and they thought it was very fun.  Here were some of my highlights. 


1.  Carley loves elephants and I thought she was going to cry when she finally saw one.   It was precious.  
2.  Corey loved the Hippopotamus, especially when it pooped against the glass.  NASTY!  He laughed and laughed.

 She immediately recognized the Bald Eagle and knows the significance for our country.  She has learned so much!

San Antonio - The Alamo and Lulu's

We also had fun Eating and Eating and EATING in San Antonio.  We always love the Riverwalk and our favorite San Antonio Mexican food restaurant which is Mamacitas and OH SO GOOD!

Cody also saw a restaurant called Lulus on Man Vs. Food where they have a 3 lb Cinnamon Roll!  It was huge and delicious!   We didn't even eat 1/2!

Carley wanted to see the Alamo so we took her by.  We decided not to do a tour of the inside.  I am not sure she is old enough not to be scared.   But it was neat sharing a part of Texas History with her that she was also curious about.  Cody also took us on a carriage ride and the kids ate it up!  They also loved the boats on the Riverwalk!  

Sea World - Azul

One of my favorite shows and the kids, as well, was Azul, the Dolphin and Beluga Whale Show.  It also featured birds, divers, Aerialists, and several others cool, talented people and animals.   My favorite part was this 4 year old Beluga Whale named Oliver.  They had to stop the show for several because he would not obey his trainers and go back into his cage.   Oliver reminded me of a 2 year old boy I know.  :)
