Corey received a big wheel bike and Spiderman helmet from Papa and Nana for his birthday. He is a really cute biker and pretty fast for a little guy! He loves it! Thanks Papa and Nana!!
Carley played fall ball in softball. The Misfits had 10 games. This year they moved up to Machine Pitch. The girls were definitely young and lost most of their games. But they learned a lot, improved a ton, and were really cute.
One game, Carley's teacher, Miss B even came to cheer them on! So fun!!
Corey at 3 is life in fastforward! This little miracle man is growing and zooming all the time. Corey Wayne, I could go on about you all day. You have the best little twinkle in your eye when you are mischievious. You love to tease. You are smart as a whip! Corey knows his capitol letters and for many of them he knows what sound they make. Corey can count and knows his numbers. You are loving and caring and when you pucker up for a kiss your lips stick out as far as they go. You tell me love me all the time and ask for one hug and one kiss. You love school and church. Your best friends are Carley, Rendon (church) and Wyatt (school). You never meet a stranger. You have great manners. You are not a very good eater and would rather play than eat. You are picky. You are potty trained but not even close to getting out of a pull up at night. During the day you rarely have accidents. You love to cuddle and rock. You love Superheroes and the Avengers. Your favorite shows are Team Umizoomi, Diego, Wiggles, Lazy Town, Little Einsteins, and Mickey Mouse. Your favorite color is blue. You are in the 90th percentile of height and 75th for weight. You are smart and playful and brighten every day. Corey Wayne Nelson, I love you with every inch of my being and truely delight in you! Happy Birthday, Baby Boy! Watching you grow makes me want to stop time!
We had Corey's 3rd birthday party at the Firestation and we had SUCH a great time! It was Corey's dream and it was a blast to see his precious face light up. I will never forget his little smile and swagger as he walked around like a firefighter as long as I live!
Carley had great behavior the first week of 1st Grade so she greeted us Friday after school with the big news that she was the first student this year to get the class pet for the weekend. Meet Gunger the Giraffe! Carley has taken care of Gunger all weekend. One of her jobs was to take a picture of her and Gunger hanging out. So we took Gunger with us to Krispy Kreme with our friends the Ihfe's and Carley's buddy Hallie. Gunger was very well behaved and was a good giraffe all weekend. We are glad Gunger got to come visit!
Cody tore his calf muscle last Friday at work. It was awful. He hurts so bad. He has been in bed all week and on crutches when he is up. He is in a boot for about 8 weeks. Light duty will be quite a change for my firefighter.
Cody and I got married in 2004. He is the nicest, most positive, laid back, and sweetest guy you will ever meet. We love our sweet West Texas life. God blessed us in 2005 with our daughter, Carley, and in 2009 with our son, Corey. We are thankful and grateful beyond belief.
