We left for Disney on Friday, January 4th. My kids had never even been on an airplane (well Carley went at 8 weeks old, but that doesn't count) and they were really excited and nervous!
When we got to the airport, the lines were crazy packed leaving Orlando We walked straight to the Magical Express and quickly headed to the Port Orleans Riverside. It was rainy and chilly when we got to Orlando. My kids were HYPED! The O'Rears were already at the Magic Kingdom and they were READY to see their favorite people!
We went to the Magic Kingdom first. We were excited to see that all the Christmas decorations were still up- it was really beautiful, and I had always wanted to see Disney World all dressed up for Christmas! We found the O'Rears and we spent the rest of the late afternoon and evening exploring Adventureland...we rode the Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the carpets of Aladdin. Corey wanted a chocolate icecream cone. Carley wanted to ride rides. Our very first ride was the Carpets of Adaddin and it ended up being one of our favorites! Then, we had a quick dinner off Main Street at Casey's and got ready for the Electrical Parade and Fireworks. Corey was really tired and had missed his nap. It was still raining off and on. It was also foggy- but it just made everything look really cool. Carley LOVED the Electrical Parade. Tinkerbell blew her a kiss and told her Happy Birthday. Carley looked like she had seen a real fairy. She was so happy, so magical, so whimsical .....SO Carley! I love the Electrical Parade and the amazing Wishes Fireworks and closing show at Magic Kingdom. It was such a great way to end our first day!
