Happy Birthday to this Guy

Happy Birthday to My Cody.  The calm in the storm, the outside the box thinker, the helper of others, the laid back friend, the gentle giant, and the man of the house.   Cody is the most genuine and honest person I have ever met.   God has gifted this man with likeability.   He is one of a kind, and he is ours.   We love you, Cody!  Happy 36th, babe!

Music Camp 2015

Oh, I am proud of this girl!   Our Carley girl sang a solo and had a speaking part in the music camp production this year!   She is growing up so much and is truly talented.  I am proud of her bravery and courage.    She loves this camp every Summer!  It is one of her favorite weeks.  We love you, Carley, and I pray that sharing your talents for the Lord is always something you are able to do!

NYC Day 4

On our last day in NYC we went and finished the tour.   We went back to the 9/11 memorial to take a few more pictures, then we went back to Times Square and ate the Stardust Diner.  It was so cute and hilarious!   We absolutely loved it.   Then we went back and grabbed our stuff and headed to the airport.    We ended up with a delay so we got to DFW at midnight then we spent the night with Alyssa's crew.   The next morning, we hung out with Alyssa's crew and went to Grapevine mills for a little shopping, Uncle Julios for enchiladas, and then headed home to Lubbock.

NYC Day 3

On Monday, we got up early and went to a taping for the Today show.   We got to see Rockefeller Center, the Today Show, NBC Studios, and then took the double decker bus tour to Central Park.   After some time there, we went to FAO Shwartz.  It was neat, because it closed a few days after we left NYC for good.   Then we went to Serendipity and had lunch and their famous Hot Chocolate.   We went back to Times Square and bought same day discount ticket to see Kinky Boots.   It was awesome!   Then we went and cleaned up at the hotel, ate some italian food, and went to the musical.  Afterwards we went to get cheesecake at Junior's Deli where my friend Marcy recommended.

NYC Day 2

On Sunday, we got up and went to the One Tower and the 911 Memorial.   We spent over 4 hours there and still did not see it all.  It was amazing.  The exhibit was overwhelming and heartbreaking and awe-inspiring.   I could have spent all day there, at the same time I had to stop looking at the items found because it was so sad.

After the 911 memorial and museum, we went to see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.  I absolutely loved the Statue of Liberty.  It was every bit as magnificent as I would have imagined.   We also had a great time on the ferry ride there and back.

Ellis island was cool.   It was neat to think of our Lebanese ancestors coming over and starting fresh.   It was a beautiful, historic site.
Then we ate dinner in Little Italy and headed back to Times Square.   We took a night tour of NYC and hit Brooklyn and several other areas.  It was cool to see!

After the night tour I stopped in the M & M store to get the kids a souvenir and I ended up knocking over a huge display of  hard plastic cups with hard straws.   It was so crazy and I was freaked out!  I ended up calling it the "M-sident" and didn't walk back in the store for the entire trip!
