Emily Hope is here!

I have posted several times about our friends (and Cody's chief) who God is blessing with a child. Well, with great and tearful joy, I am so excited to say that Emily Hope was born last night. Her birth mother has completed the first two steps of the adoption process. She signed the paper that she did not want to hold the baby and she signed the paper that the baby could leave the hospital as soon as it was healthy. The baby is perfectly healthy and should be in the arms of her mom this afternoon! :) WHAT A BLESSING! The final paper has to be signed on Sunday evening, 48 hours after the birth, saying that the birth mom relinquishes her rights.

Please, please say a prayer for these specific things.

1. Emily continues to be healthy and the transport to Lubbock and to their home is successful.
2. The Chief is in Maryland at a conference! He is trying to get home, but has run into some travel issues. Hopefully he will be home soon. Pray for his travel and sanity and that the family will be together soon.
3. I just spoke with Mrs. Chief and she is so excited, nervous, overwhelmed and everything else! This day without her husband is hard, but she is surrounded my friends and family. Pray for her as well.
4. Pray that the last paper is signed without a hitch and that all goes through.

What a blessed day!
