Last week Papa, (Granny's husband) who keeps Carley had surgery. This week she has been shared between Cody, my Mom, and me all week. She has done really well, but it has been hectic getting it all organized. My Mom has been a LIFESAVER and has helped so much. Today we didn't have any one so Carley came to work with me. It was hilarious to say the least. My office was not the most productive, but definitely had the highest amount of energy.
At the end of the day, one of the teachers brought down a song for me to listen to and it made me cry. It is called "In My Arms" by Plumb. I had heard it on Air One but just part of it. You have to hear it. Here is a link to her My Space page. I found the lyrics online as well. It is a sweet song that reminded me of my sweet girl.
In My Arms - Plumb
your baby blues
so full of wonder
your curly cues
your contagious smile
and as i watch
you start to grow up
all I can do is hold you tight
knowing clouds will raise up
storms will race in
but you will be safe in my arms
rains will pour down
waves will crash all around
but you will be safe in my arms
story books full of fairy tales
kings and queens and the bluest skies
My heart is torn just in knowing
you'll someday see the truth from lies
knowing clouds will raise up
storms will race in
but you will be safe in my arms
rains will pour down
waves will crash all around
but you will be safe in my arms
Castles they might crumble
dreams may not come true
but you are never all alone
because I will always
always love you
clouds will raise up
storms will race in
but you will be safe in my arms
rains will pour down
waves will crash all around
but you will be safe in my arms
Every office needs Baby Einstein, right?

So sweet of Carley to keep you company at work. I'm sure your productivity went through the roof- at least mine always does when I take Caroline to the office. :)
Love all the pictures. Even though the planning is very challenging, what sweet memories! The Plumb song is one of my favorites.
What a wonderful little assistant. I can't believe how grown up she looks.
Carley is too cute! I'm sure she loved spending the day with you.
The Plumb song made me CRY!!!
So nice that you have the flexibility to be able to do that! I saw Plumb open for Jars of Clay many years ago now, I will have to check that out! Beautiful lyrics. Hope your friend is recoverying nicely and that your week is going well! Hug my favorite SIL for me!
What a beautiful song! Thanks for sharing!
